Edenvale Computers only collects the personal information it needs to process your orders, deliver them and support you, and protects it as required by the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Who we are
This website, edenvalecomputers.co.za, is run by New Heights 1077cc (registration number 2000/066063/23), trading as Edenvale Computers, VR Mall Centre, Van Riebeeck Avenue, Edenvale. We are the “responsible party” for your personal information under POPIA.
What we collect
- Contact details: your name, email address and phone number.
- Delivery and billing details: your address, and company name and VAT number if you add them.
- Order details: what you bought, order history and returns.
- Device details: your laptop’s make and model when you ask us to check a part or book a workshop installation.
- Messages: what you send us by email, WhatsApp, phone or through the website.
- Your account: your login details if you create an account.
- Technical details: your IP address, browser type and how you use the website, collected through cookies (see below).
We do not see or store your card or banking details. Payments are processed securely by PayFast and Yoco.
Why we use it
- To process, deliver and support your orders, collections and workshop installations.
- To handle returns, refunds and warranty claims.
- To contact you about your order.
- To keep accounting and tax records, as the law requires.
- To protect our customers and our business against fraud.
- To send you specials and news, but only if you’ve agreed. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Who we share it with
We only share your information with the companies that help us serve you, and only what they need:
- Courier companies: to deliver your order.
- PayFast and Yoco: to process your payment.
- Our website hosting and email providers: to run the website and send order emails.
- Authorities: when the law requires it.
We never sell your personal information. Some of these providers may store information outside South Africa. When that happens, we only use providers that protect it to a standard similar to POPIA.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as we need it for the reasons above. Order and payment records are kept for at least 5 years, as required by South African tax law.
How we protect it
The website uses a secure (https) connection, access to customer information is limited to staff who need it, and we take reasonable steps to keep it safe from loss, misuse or unauthorised access.
Cookies
Cookies are small files saved by your browser. We use them to keep items in your cart, keep you signed in and understand how the website is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but the cart and checkout may not work without them.
Your rights
Under POPIA you may:
- ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy;
- ask us to correct or update it;
- ask us to delete it, unless we have to keep it by law;
- object to us using it, or withdraw your consent to marketing;
- lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.
To use any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.

Our shop is meant for adults. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to place your order.
